In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of the top social networking applications in Greece revealed interesting trends across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. This analysis is based on data provided by Sensor Tower.

Threads experienced a varied download pattern, starting the quarter with approximately 15K downloads, peaking at around 21.5K mid-July, and then gradually declining to about 10.6K by the end of September. The app maintained a steady user base with weekly active users fluctuating between 850K and 1M.

WhatsApp Messenger saw a consistent decline in downloads from 23.9K at the beginning of July to about 17.8K by the end of September. The app's active user count slightly decreased from 3.4M to just under 3.2M over the quarter.

Telegram Messenger showed an upward trend in revenue, starting at around $6.4K and peaking at approximately $11K in mid-September. Downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 8.3K to 10.9K, while active users ranged from 700K to 850K.

Rakuten Viber Messenger achieved consistent growth in revenue, peaking at about $13K in the final week of September. Downloads and active users also showed positive trends, with downloads reaching up to 15.7K and active users increasing from 3.9M to over 4.2M.

Facebook maintained steady metrics throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads hovered around 12.7K to 14.8K, while revenue remained stable at approximately $4.3K to $5.2K. Active users were consistently around 2.5M.
